Jamie Impastato, LCSW

Earning her Masters in Social work from Dominican University, Jamie brings 20 years of experience working with children, adolescents and adults in both the clinical and school settings. Jamie works with a variety of needs including: ADHD, Anxiety, Autism, Depression, Brainspotting, Life Transitions, Relationship Troubles, Play Therapy, Family Therapy, Social Skill Building and more.

Jamie brings positive behavior intervention for kids and comprehensive school team support for a variety of challenges both academic and social emotional. Jamie is proficient in understanding school team systems, excellent at navigating school IEP and 504 plans, and facilitates a supportive and rewarding experience in student support.

Jamie provides high quality, goal oriented play therapy for kids 4+ using a variety of up to date curriculum and research. Jamie provides engaging and meaningful therapy for even the hardest to reach adolescents. She also loves working with college students experiencing transitions.

Parent education, family system support and life transitions are some of the many areas that Jamie is well versed. Jamie provides goal oriented therapy for adults looking for a different perspective to a familiar situation. Through CBT and Systems Theory, adults find the ability to challenge their difficulties and insecurities, strengthen their emotional support network, build strength and confidence to handle life’s challenges. Clients learn to create space between their stressors and their responses, and find a newfound sense of control in their lives.
