Rachel Yi, MSW, LSW

You are the expert on your own story. I am here to listen and provide a safe space to collaboratively explore the challenges that may inhibit individuals from leading a meaningful life. A sense of helplessness and hopelessness can transpire as a result of past experiences or feeling a loss of control in our lives. Rather than analyzing the past, I primarily focus on how our current thoughts, feelings, and behaviors keep us stuck in an endless cycle of struggle. I empower individuals to reclaim control of their life and draw from their strengths and resiliency to move toward positive change.

Rachel earned her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a specialization in mental health. She has a background in acute inpatient mental health settings, as well as outpatient partial hospitalization programs. Rachel has had the privilege of working with individuals from all walks of life, from adolescents to older adults. She has experience in working with the following needs: Depression, Anxiety, Autism, ADHD, Social Skills, and Relationship Difficulties.

Rachel brings an eclectic approach, and believes in catering therapeutic techniques to my clients’ current needs. She utilizes a strengths-based practice and offer support through building emotion regulation skills, inter/intrapersonal skills, executive functioning skills, setting achievable goals, and more. She continues to be a lifelong learner as she grows alongside her clients Rachel looks forward to being a part of your progress!
